October in Mt Vernon!

This year has been one busy fall season! Living in Mt.Vernon, VA has been such a blessing during the holidays. Our little community of Stratford landing is so small and close that it really doesn't feel like we are living so close to DC.
This week leading up to Halloween the kids have had so much to do. Presley got to dress up for a Fall Festival at her school and I got to go to her little class party and see all the little costumes! We also went with Mia to her school's Fall Festival and had another opportunity to dress up. At Mia's fall festival Presley had her face painted like a butterfly. I have to tell ya it was so beautiful and the lady did it so quickly.
This past weekend we had a birthday party, a hail and fair well, and a pumpkin carving contest all in the same day. Then on Sunday we had church and the neighborhood Halloween parade! Since we had so many opportunities for dressing up I thought I would add some pictures!!
