The family is home!!

Hey everyone!! First and foremost I want to thank EVERYONE for your prayers the last week. It was a wild and scary ride there for a moment, but the outcome is incredible! Dallas and I have made it home with Presley! She really is the addition to our life that we never knew we were missing. We came home to a beautifully decorated house of "It's a Girl!!" everywhere!! The dogs have taken a liking to her and seem protective already. We plan to put up more pictures of the last two days so please keep checking the blog. I am sure you were worried that I didn't have more pictures coming. I just wanted to take this time to tell you all that I love you and can't wait to introduce you all to the new love of my life! As far as my update....well...I am healthy. I still have the preeclampsia and will probably struggle with it for another 2-4 weeks. HOwever, I am out of the woods and having Presley makes it MUCH easier to make a speedy recovery!! Again, I love you all and am greatful for your prayers!!

Presley Rebecca Gipson

Well everyone our baby girl has arrived!!! Cindy has allowed me to actually post on her blog and I am going to keep it short so that she will not regret her decision. Our baby weighed in at 6 pounds and 14 ounces and measured 19 inches. After Cindy was admitted for observation for the 2ND time the Doctors decided that it was time for Cindy to have the baby and scheduled her Cesarean section for 5:00 pm on Wed the 23rd. The procedure went without any complications and our girl was delivered at 5:29 pm. She is absolutely beautiful and has already captured the hearts of her family. Cindy will be released on Friday or Saturday and I promise that she will return to the blog to tell everyone all of the details that I have missed in my maleness.

Dallas

PS, I cried when I held her and I cannot imagine life without her already. Also the other reason this is so short is that I want to hurry back to the Hospital to be with her and my beautiful bride and now mother of our family.

39 weeks...

We made it!!! The doctor gave me til Wednesday to try and make more progress towards dialating before we have to do a c-section. The preeclampsia makes inducing a hard thing on the mom if she has not progressed on her own. So, our hope is that we will go to our appt. tomorrow morning and will get the go ahead for induction. If not we will be doing a c-section. Our hearts and our minds are prepared for the c-section, but we would obviously hope for the natural birth. Regardless we will be having a little one very soon! I can't believe the time has come! I am going to be a mommy and Dallas is going to be a daddy. Our lives will change forever and I HOPE I will change as well!! There is nothing like this experience and I am greatful for it! Please pray that all will go fine and that the result will be a beautiful baby!! Enjoy the last picture of me and my expanding body!!!

NO LAUGHING!!

So, Dallas and I are back from the hospital. Thank God!! Truely, Thank God! If it weren't for Him we wouild not be home. However, we aren't sure how long the stay at home will last. We hope that it will last till Wednesday! But, for now, Mom and Baby are doing good. My blood pressure is tolerable as long as I lay on my left side! So, right now everything is stable! I am going to post pictures of my stay in the hospital by request of some friends and family. YES, I am HUGE and my face is big enough you could stick a pin in it! So, NO LAUGHING at the fat lady!! I am now convinced that it is my lot in life to show that pregnancy isn't always the pretty picture they paint for us in the magazines. So, for those out there who need to know that people gain weight, swell, have bad complections, and don't feel energetic all the time, HAVE NO FEAR-this too is normal!!!!

Cindy and Shasta

Cindy after 12hrs in hospital! Look the swelling is going down!! Seriously!

Missy, Cindy and DAllas

In other news, one of my best friends from childhood came to visit me this week and we had a wonderful time. Missy and her precious little girl Bella came to see me and my belly. I was so blessed by their visit. We laughed so much I am surprised I am still with child. I can't begin to explain the friendship I have with Missy and the amazing gift I have in her. I have some fun pictures of her time here! I hate that she had to go, but so greatful for the time I had with her!!

My Bella!!

Will it be a girl or a boy? Who knows, but these are the take home outfits! The baby won't just have the onesie. It will go home in a sleepy sack!

This very well may be the last blog that I post until the baby is here. WE will see! Thank you ALL for your prayers and thoughts of our family. The past 48hrs were very scary, but knowing we had family and friends praying really made a difference. WE love you all!!

Update on Cindy and Dallas

This is Cindy's friend Sarah writing to update everyone on the Gipsons. Cindy is in the hospital now where they are monitoring her blood pressure. Both Cindy and baby Gipson are doing well, but please keep both in your prayers as Cindy would like to wait for natural labor to begin rather than inducing labor. The doctors say she has preeclampsia and so they are watching her carefully.

There is a chance that Cindy may be able to go home tonight and be on bed rest until their precious surprise arrives. Missy is with her in Gainesville and has some pictures that she will put on the blog later - stay tuned for more updates and some fun pictures of Cindy!

Praise God that both mama and baby are still doing well, and should Baby Gipson come sooner rather than later - we can be thankful that Baby Gipson is full term!

Check out my Slide Show!

Where did the weekend go....

This past weekend was beyond busy for the Gipsons!! Friday night we went to the baseball game here- Florida vs ARKANSAS! It was a lot of fun! Of course, the Hogs ended up winning the game!!! Woooo pig sooie! I believe the Hogs lost Sat. and won Sunday. So, all-in-all we won the series! The game was lots of fun! We went with Sandra, Aaron and Mia who are loyal Gator fans. We had fun tryin to make Mia call the Hogs. Lets just say we didn't have to try very hard. It must be the fact that she has been hearing us call the Hogs and speak about the Hogs since she was 5 days old!! She wasn't confused, however, because every time a Gator cheer began she would sing/say all the words with much conviction. Pretty impressive for a 2 year old!!!! We did, however, manage to sneak Dallas' Arkansas baseball hat on her. And, yes, Dallas does own a baseball hat.

On Saturday morning Dallas and I got up and went to the ESPN Game Day at the University Stadium. It was the Florida Orange and Blue game and Game Day was there! That was really awesome. We were standing right next to all the regular anchors! It was awesome!!!! And FINALLY they said that there isn't another conference like the SEC!! I guess that after we killed the Big 10 contender two years in a row without blinking an eye! We got there at 10am and let me tell you it was HOT!!! The sun was intense. I am not so sure that at 38 weeks I should have been walking all over the campus in 95 degree weather!! But, I did and survived!! And, it was well worth it!!

After the game we had to attend our prepared child birthing class for 6 hours. We did it Saturday and Sunday from 1-6:30, but it always ran late!! That was a long time to sit in class all day. I was the only one on the verge of popping, too. Most of the other moms had another month to two months left! They all seemed so perky and comfortable. I really couldn't understand what the difference was!! heeeheee!! The class was very informative and I even think Dallas left feeling more educated and better prepared for the laboring process!!

We have finally reached the point of "let's do this"!! But, mom is still a little nervous about what to do once baby is here! I am uncomfortable but for the most part I feel pretty great! If it weren't for the swelling I think I would feel even better. My doctor thinks it will still be another week-two weeks before the little one decides to make its appearance! So, stay tuned! We could go a good week to two after my due date for all I know. Induction hasn't been discussed and we aren't going to bring it up until at least a week after the due date. Of course if the doctor sees a reason we would need to induce before then we will consider it! So, prayers please that the next two weeks will continue to go smoothly and that in no time we will be letting you all know IT'S A......????????

5 year anniversary and FULL TERM...

Dallas and I celebrated our 5th Anniversary today! Wahoo! I can't believe it has been so long and yet at the same time I feel like we have been together forever!! I honestly have a hard time remembering what my life was like without him in it. Dallas is an amazing blessing in my life. I really could never describe what he means to me! He is more than my husband and so much more than my best friend!! I am honestly overwhelmed sometimes that I was lucky enough to score someone as amazing as he is to share my life. Now, we are embarking on parethood and I am so greatful to be doing it with him. Just having him in my life at this time of change gives me a steady peace about what is coming!! I think other than meeting my baby I am most excited to see Dallas as a dadddy!

We are now FULL TERM in the pregnancy! I can't believe it!! My little surprise won't be a surprise much longer! I am still doing great, but am feeling a little pathetic that I don't have the energy I should during this move. However, again, God was gracious enough to give me Dallas who has been an incredible help during this time of transition. I will try to put a belly shot each week as we get closer. I keep thinking this growing belly will stop at some point, but NOPE!! My body is bound and determined to let the whole world know I will be popping at any minute! So, please when you say your prayers for our family will you please PRAISE God that we are together and so in love and for the great adventure of parenting that He is letting us experience together.
