Fair winds and following seas...

So, this blog is way overdue. There are two videos and my video skills are awful! Sorry.

My very dear friend Sandra and her family left Gainesville to head for Barstow, California. We were so sad to see them go. They are as much like family as you can get in friends. We were so greatful to live near them when Presley was born. They were such big help and support in the first few months of her life and while we learned to be parents. So it goes with the military. We have to treasure our short time with one another because soon our ship sails to another destination with new adventures!!

It was also such a joy to get to spend some time with Mia. We were there for Mia's first 18months of life, so it was wonderful to get to see her as a big 2 1/2 year old! She is hillarious! Everyday she says the funniest things which kept us all entertained-even Presley. She was always showing Presley new things like how to crawl, sing songs, etc. I have a video of her singing to Presley. I have to preface this video by telling you that Mia is sometimes a broken record. You know how most children this age can be distracted by something? OH, not Mia. When she has her mind set she just goes. So, in this video all she wanted to do was sing Presley "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" even with our attempts to get her to sing another song. Also, in this video she is trying to show us her front flip only to exclaim "Mom, it's not working" when she couldn't figure out how to do it. I just had to share this video because it brings me such joy. It captures the heart and soul of a little girl who we miss every day!
This video is VERY long

Presley is really starting to get bigger. She is beginning to interact with everything and everyone. She really, really likes to talk and tell you all about her day. She laughs all day long. Every morning she wakes up with a HUGE grin and a giggle. Presley is 3 1/2 months old, weighs 11lbs 7oz and is starting to look like more and more like a little girl and less like a newborn. She is finally starting to outgrow her newborn clothes. We are finally moving into 0-3months! I have another video of her. This week we put her in her baby einstein excersaucer. Presley is not long enough to touch the bottom, but she still loves it! I should have recorded her dangling because it is precious, but I didn't think of it. I hope you enjoy! She is growing so fast!

Mia is such a doll! And I know how much Sandra and Aaron meant to you guys too! I'm glad you got to spend some more time with them, but sad you had to say bye again. I know you will truly miss them. Thanks for sharing the video!

And, the video of Presley was so cute! I'm glad she likes her exersaucer (sp?) and the height accomodations are great! I'm sure it won't be the only time those are made! We love you three!
